GHOST TONGUES is the debut full-length release from FVNERAL HORROR, combining dirge-like funerary organ and guitar with walls of crumbling textural distortion, punctuated with brutal industrial rhythm, screeched vocals and apocalyptic crashes of harsh noise.

Opening with the now customary rolling thunder, the album lifts off slowly on the first two tracks, with shifting complimentary textures of hissing and howling noise and droning black metal guitar motifs.

On track three, suitably titled FEEBLE MACHINES OF FLESH, the sound opens up and builds momentum, introducing a rhythmic cycle of heavily distorted drums, punched through with FVNERAL HORROR's harrowed rasps.

The title track goes on to at first shun the listener with a long and slow changing section of harsh noise wall, before giving way to the howls of those beyond the grave, backed by a repetitive dirge, calling to mind visions of ancient haunted castles and their vampiric inhabitants.

A brief but upsetting interlude is found on THE WEEPING before the album comes to a long close with CARNIVOROUS SHADOWS, the first half encapsulated in a two-chord guitar drone alternating between rattling dissonance and resolution, overlaid with distortion-laden demented cries. The second half revisits the theme found on the title track, leading the listener through the funerary melody with apocalyptic crunches and crashes, building ever upward in tension to the final lyric -
"I AM FINALLY DEVOURED"

Clocking in just shy of a fifty-three minute run time, GHOST TONGUES is at times uncomfortable, evoking a spectrum of negative emotions that leave the listener with catharsis in silence upon it's close.

It comes highly recommended to perform the first listen in a dark room through headphones at a considerable volume.
